Terms of service

Tomlyn Bake Shop in Amarillo, Texas is a home bakery operating under the Texas Cottage Food Law. We possess the required food handler's license. This bakery follows safe food handling practices during preparation and packaging.

Our products are packaged to prevent contamination, unless the size makes it impractical (e.g., wedding cakes).

As a home bakery, we are required to label our products with the following information: Our business name and physical address where the food was produced. The common or usual name of the product. We identify any major food allergens (e.g., eggs, milk, nuts, peanuts, soy, wheat, sesame).

The types of foods offered: cakes, both sheets and mini, cupcakes, muffins, cookies, and pound cakes, which are non-potentially hazardous and do not require time and temperature control for safety (refrigeration). 

Examples of non-TCS foods (allowed foods): breads, cookies, cakes (excluding those with cream cheese, custard, or meringue fillings/icings), pastries, jams, jellies, and dried fruits and vegetables.

I DO NOT SELL PROHIBITED FOODS SUCH AS: meats, dairy, low-acid canned foods, or fresh cut fruits and vegetables.

"This food is made in a home kitchen and is not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or a local health department."

ALLERGENS AND DIETARY NEEDS: Please inform our bakery of any known allergies or dietary restrictions when placing an order. There is a potential for cross-contamination risks due to a shared kitchen space. 

Sales and Distribution: We do direct sales from my home, in person, as well as online (with delivery or for pickup at our bakery), as well as at farmer's markets, farm stands, or designated delivery locations. 

We cannot sell our products wholesale or through retail establishments (unless you are a registered cottage food vendor under the new law, which takes effect on September 1, 2025. 

ORDER PROCESS AND PAYMENTS:  Orders can be placed online through our website www.tomlynbakeshop.com, by phone (806-300-1269, or in person. the shop app. For simple orders, payment is due upon delivery/pickup. If the order is over $ 75, a 50% deposit will be required, upon the acceptance the order.
